For each tier there are 10 full sets of papers.
Each set consists of one non-calculator and one calculator section/paper
for each of the three modules.
The full versions of the papers look just like those candidates will sit,
with spaces to write in their answers. The short versions do not have spaces
to write in, so they can be used again, saving on printing costs. Candidates
write on ordinary paper with just the diagrams they need to write on
supplied on individual answer sheets.
The papers have been carefully constructed so that the number of marks
for each Assessment Objective and at each available grade meet the
specification requirements. Also, the styles of questions are based on
those set by each Awarding Body. As with a sequence of real papers, this
set of papers ensures that each part of each topic is assessed as students
work through them. It is because of this careful balancing that we believe
these papers are the best preparation you can give your students for the
new exam.
The papers have been written by Shaun Armstrong, an experienced teacher,
examiner and author. He is the main author of the popular "Solomon Papers"
used by many schools and colleges to prepare students for AS and A levels
and the Improving Skills books.
